The next two stories are written in Neuro Linguistic Programming style (NLP) They are meant to be told, not read, and the wording is just suggestions to use. In NLP it is best to stay in the present tense and use “you” so at times the grammar gets a little strange. The underlined phrases are called “imbedded commands” and are suggestions made to the listener to relax and imagine, using all five senses. A story within a story creates a slight bit of confusion which relaxes the barriers to imagination and assists the listener in letting go of rigid thinking and allowing his imagination to take over. Choose phrases from this story to include in other stories after a very active activity or in teaching relaxation thoughts to children. Using your hands along with the story increases the attention of the children and speeds up the relaxation mode.
